I also think The Lounge should be made more known to the public, especially to Facebook users who want to protect their privacy:
Facebook has now removed the Clear chat history option, which means you now have no means of securing that your chats will not be read by others (allthough Facebook.com strives to keep your personal information safe, they too have security problems form time to time, and it has happened om several occations that users get access to information that they are not supposed to see - of course the users are worried).
There is even a protest group for this, and - if facebook don't restore the Clear chat history option - the groups members will probably be looking for an easy to use chat alternative where the user is in control!
An integrated file sharing option would be very handy.
Of course I can use File Sharing and File Inbox/Document Courier, but when chatting/discussing a subject, the focus is on the chat, and opening another window is an unwanted obstacle.
Sharing the file directly inside the lounge would be a huge advantage.
Perhaps is it possible to integrate File Sharing and Document Courier with The Lounge, making it behave as one unified service?
It would be nice to have an option to change the default username and also to have the chat session saved, in case the chat windows got closed accidentally. Thanks
A very nice application. I wish there was sound notification for new messages and the typing notification. That would make it the ultimate unite app in my opinion. Thanks!
i didn't test myself as i don't have the means right now but...
and , u tried using actual ip's that take people to your pc and not their own? (localhost or 127.0.0.1 always refers to the device it is "used" in, like me saying me and u saying me... not the same person)...
just to be sure you're not making developer's look for some error that doesn't exist which can be painful sometimes
