Access your complete home music library from wherever you are.
Run the Opera Unite Media Player at home and access your entire music library from anywhere you might be. No need to duplicate your music on different machines.

The media player doesn't work here... I do see the list of files and if I click on a file, it asks me wether to open it or to save it... but i can't play it in my browser..
Loving this app. However I have a question: is there any way for the tab to change name according to the song being played? I hate switching tabs to see who's playing.
Would be nice to have a shuffle function that picks songs from the entire library, not only from the current folder.
For some reason, when tried to access my media player content from another computer, got the message that I was offline (?), or that the name did not exist (!). Would that be connected with the fact that I access it from work where we have proxies?
Japanese file name does not display correctly for some file.
Looks like only support mp3 at this time. At least add in the support for mp4 would be nice.
Also it can not read the Unicode ID3 tag. I am not too worry about this because not too many program yet support that. As far as I know, foobar200 is the only one.
They are all small issues. it would make this app much better if they are fixed/added.
PS: Just have a quick question. Will the app auto update if new version come out???
Like weconsultants mentioned before, we really need a loading status; it takes waaay too long to load if there are a lot of files in the folder that even I thought the browser had frozen or something... It also takes A LOT of processing power to poll all the files. Perhaps some sort of speed optimization is in order?
I'm using Mac OS X 10.6 and this unite doesn't work. My library is in m4a format. It doesn't even the folders with the albums. And this situation is valid also for File Sharing and Streaming unites. The idea still cool.
This is a great application. It works well, I have only one request: I'd like to choose the way the songs are displayed. Currently all songs as shown in an alphabetical order by song title. I would prefer to have them ordered by track number (I usually listen to whole albums), or by file name. But the best thing would be to have the option to choose the song display order.
It would be also good to have an option to play a whole directory.
I agree: Playlists Other media formats, eg WAV, OGG, WMA, FLAC Volume control Order by tags, track number etc Can it play direct from CD? I don't think so, but that would be good. As a singer-songwriter/poet I've got lots of my stuff on CD/DVD.
